Harry Bakker, President and Owner of Trailmate, purchased the company in 1977. At the time, Trailmate was a specialty manufacturer of adult recreational tricycles. In 1978, Harry purchased the assets of a local Cycle Company in Bradenton, Florida.
These acquisitions, along with aggressive product development, have evolved into a multi-million dollar company that produces a diverse line that includes 12 specialty cycle models marketed under the Trailmate name.
We currently operate out of a 67,000 sq. ft. plant located in Bradenton, Florida. All Trailmate products are built tough by skilled workers, utilizing premium materials and the safest, most efficient production practices.
Through our 30-year history we have continued to partner with our dealers, distributors and resellers to provide the American consumer with a quality product that's made in the USA. We look forward to many more years of service.
