If you would like some more information on our company you have come to the right place. We started making leather goods on a full time basis in 1975, in the basement of our suburban home. Our first projects were leather belts and leather handbags. It wasn't until a couple of years later that we called our creations Fine leather handbags and leather belts. In 1979 we moved to our present rural location of Naples, NY. Our goal has always been to be able to supply people with the finest quality leather goods at the fairest price we could afford. We specialize in Real leather belts and leather handbags. We have expanded our product line over the years to include men's and ladies leather wallets, leather fanny packs and a large assortment of small leather goods.

We use the finest leather that we can find and produce each item completely by hand. (We do use a sewing machine). Our guarantee to you is that if you find a defect in workmanship or materials we will gladly repair or replace your purchase For as long as you own it. All of our belts are made from the best quality harness leather that is actually made for horse gear.

All of our hand bags are sewn with nylon thread so they won't come apart. Ever. We double stitch the handles to the body so they won't pull apart. The lining on all of our leather handbags is the natural leather material. We guarantee our leather handbags and we have found that cloth linings are the first thing to fall apart. It takes allot of research to produce a fine handbag or belt that holds up to time and our standards. So if you are looking for a Fine Leather Handbag or a Real Leather Belt you came to the right place.

We encourage you to bookmark our site and then to shop around the Internet. If you find any place in the world that offers our quality at a lower price contact us and we will match that price. We have found lower prices on the web for leather handbags and leather belts, but the quality was not even close to what we produce.

The OlovesM Story-

I was on my yoga mat in downward dog when the idea for my bags popped into my head! Yes, I know I should have been OMing out - but for me, yoga class can sometimes be the best place for me to Think, Create, Design. That idea lead to a TON of research, exciting adventures, and tons of stories.

Our bags are mostly made from new yoga mats that were over produced, or that studios or stores could not use. The fabrics we use are either over-runs, seconds, ends of rolls, or USA-made, which is very exciting! Even the straps for our bags comes from the webbing left over when a sandal company sold its business.

Oh, the name -- it has a few meanings, which are all part of the story! OM is what you chant in yoga, and since I was in class when the idea popped into my head - it seemed perfect! Plus, my husband's nickname is OB, so OB loves Merle, and finally, OM are my initials backwards! It all made sense to me -- so I went with it:)

Have fun checking out our bags, and most of all remember to-

Smile, Smile, Smile

Merle:)

Upon graduation from New York University, I bought a one-way ticket to San Francisco to discover a new city and to start a new life. My parents had done the same almost 50 years ago when they immigrated to the United States from the Philippines. You could say it is from them that I learned how to be entrepreneurial.

Prior to children, I spent nearly six years doing public relations, marketing, and branding for a San Francisco design firm. While I always wanted to have a family, I also wanted to return to the workforce but only on my own terms. Starting my own business seemed like the best way to accomplish both goals. The next challenge was to define what kind of business.

As is true for most parents, my children consumed my life, and what I discovered were all kinds of baby products that worked and many that didn't work. When my first child Patrick was born, I found the small rectangular shape of diaper changing pads frustrating because aligning him in the right position was always a challenge?particularly since he was a rather wiggly baby. Even more annoying was the design of the folding/rolling pad that had ties, buttons, or even Velcro?. I needed something simple that could fold easily - especially with one hand.

When my second child Emma was born, I, like most parents today, was always on the go and found my diaper bag overwhelming at times?especially for quick trips to the grocery store or a visit to the park. For these short jaunts, I only needed a few diapers, wipes, perhaps a change of clothes and a changing pad. Plus, I wanted something small and compact that I could throw in my car, handbag or even at the bottom of my stroller.

Emma was eighteen months old when I started to consider how to return to the work force. I was discussing ideas for businesses with my sister, when Emma needed a diaper change. My sister had been suggesting that a good business solves a problem. In the time it took to change Emma, I found my business venture: a round diaper changing pad.

I founded patemm inc in 2004, and named my invention after my first two kids who inspired the product: Patrick and Emma. My company and my family have grown since then, but the passion that inspires the company remains the same: my children, Patrick, Emma, Jack, and Lucie, and my husband Marty. The patemm? pad has received numerous awards and accolades for its unique design, convenience and style. As an American family, we have and always will be committed to manufacturing our products in the USA!

While I've had many careers and artistic interests over the years, sewing has been a constant in my life. When I began travelling more, I sewed many travel wardrobes, but couldn't find a purse that was attractive, functional and adaptable for the many parts of my day or for travel. Returning from a trip to Italy, I was determined to create my own perfect purse.

Design breakthrough
After hours of designing, measuring and sewing, I realized it wasn't the purse that I needed to alter, it was my stuff that I needed to corral! After 12 versions, I had solved my purse challenge.

With my invention, I could ignore interior pockets, change purses in seconds, whip out a pen quickly or answer my phone by the second ring. According to the interior of the purse, I could change the configuration of the Purse Perfector to accommodate a backpack, a small bag, a briefcase, or the rolling tote I take on board planes. I was thrilled and all my friends wanted one.

Well-made in the USA
My business philosophy is simple: use good durable fabric and make the Purse Perfector in America (San Francisco), be as green as possible and provide the best, most adaptable purse organizer available. Each Purse Perfector order is hand-packed by a local nonprofit, Easter Seals Work Resource Center, an organization dedicated to training the developmentally disabled in meaningful work for a variety of businesses.

I hope you enjoy filling your Purse Perfector, changing purses as often as you like and knowing where to find everything in your purse! Whatever your day brings, whatever bag you have, the Purse Perfector puts everything right at your fingertips!

Award-winning new product
After only 18 months in business, Lyn Marsteller and the Purse Perfector were selected as the 2010 Best New Product/Service of the Year by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber of Commerce WE (Women Excel) Celebrate program. At the same event, Lisa FitzGibbon, CEO of Easter Seals Work Resource Center (seen here with Lyn) was selected Woman of the Year, Nonprofit. Easter Seals clients package the Purse Perfectors for distribution.
